What We Grow
Our small-scale nursery produces several crops each season.
Spring Crops
Almost all of our spring crops have been overwintered. They are second-year (or older) perennials grown from seed that will flower the year they are planted. They are acclimated to the early spring temperatures and can be planted out safely even before the last frost date. A few of our species are not available for advance ordering—we release this inventory in May after the plants have broken dormancy.
Summer Crops
We continue to offer new crops beginning in mid June. Look for new availability of warm-season grasses in plugs and summer- and fall-blooming perennials in larger container sizes.
Fall Crops
In August, we start accepting advance orders for fall. We try to have new crops of all species ready for fall planting. We recommend planting early-spring bloomers and early emerging spring plants in the fall so they can get off to an early start in spring, but September is a great time for establishing almost all perennials.
