Ageratina altissima | white snakeroot

White snakeroot is a native wildflower commonly seen growing along the forest edge and in other shady spots. It is a great addition to large naturalistic woodland plantings as it can quickly colonize in disturbed shady sites or areas heavily grazed by deer. In summer and fall, the 2-3’ plants are topped with white, nectar-laden flowers that attract and support bees and butterflies through the later part of the season. This species is toxic to livestock and should be kept out of pastures. Prefers moist soils. LOCAL ECOTYPE.

QT. pot only.
