Baptisia tinctoria | Yellow Wild Indigo

The only Baptisia native to New England, Baptisia tinctoria is a well-behaved, bushy perennial that provides excellent pollinator support from a billowy mound of yellow flowers. Plants fix their own nitrogen and thrive in average to dry sites, including those with poor soils. Prefers full sun, growing 2-3 feet tall and wide. Interesting dark seed pods form in fall.
