Growing this one by customer request! Carex woodii was the top-ranking sedge in Mt. Cuba Center’s recent multi-year native sedge trial. Another wonderful woodland sedge for the shade or part-shade garden. With narrow blue-green leaves emerging early in spring, this species will spread slowly to form a groundcover. Similar to many of our fine-leaved sedges, this species tops out about 12” tall. Native to NY and areas west and south.
